This website aims to give you information about the church and parish of St Matthew's Church, Hayfield.

Our Statement of Purpose:

'We at St Matthew's are a fellowship of Christians committed to placing God at the centre of our lives. We exist to follow Christ's example and to share his message and love with the local and wider community'.

Following Church of England advice aimed at limiting the spread of Coronavirus, public worship has been suspended until further notice.

All formal meetings due to be held in the church are also cancelled.

The church building will be open for private prayer from 10am until 4pm for anyone who needs time for quiet personal contemplation and prayer.

Please observe the guidelines on distancing (2 meters) and hygiene practices when entering the church. 

We advise you to pray from home using resources available on the Church of England website if you are in an “at risk” group.

A range of prayer and worship resources can be found on the Church of England website. We shall be live broadcasting Sunday Worship initially on Facebook and will endeavour to make further acts of worship available in other formats.
